SECAmb

During the darkest times of the Covid-19 pandemic, through Enable Hire, sister company Enable Welfare supplied welfare vans to an ambulance service to help reduce pressure on the NHS.

Four welfare vans were supplied directly to the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb), who in turn sent them to hospitals to be used outside A&E departments. There they were used by the volunteers to provide hot drinks and toilet facilities for ambulance crews, and for patients and their families as they waited to enter the buildings.

These modern, well-equipped units therefore not only successfully reduced pressure on hospital facilities, but also provided a little cheer in very difficult circumstances.
